A New Hope

Hiroshima was one of the few cities that resonated with me. I didn't quite know what to expect when travelling here; in fact the last thing I expected was this city to be a massive metropolis, especially given its total destruction at the end of World War 2. This photo to me, defines the harmony between old and new; a metropolis who hasn't forgotten the destruction that is unfortunately woven in its history.
